My dearest family!!,
elder houston here! fine and dandy! ha. hey thanks so much for the package i got it and everything made it safe the brownies were lil crusty but hey ! i aint complaning haha they were way good. oh just a little heads up they have cream of rice here in springfield so you dont got to send any more:) hahah ive got it coming out my ears haha but thanks so much it all helps.
and sorry! i didnt get my suprise out to you!!! i totally ran out of time hopefully i will get you it this week ha hopefully. oh and ya! i have been able to talk to drew for a while now ! thats so crazy he on his way home already!!! if you guys get to see him you should say hi to him for me!!! oh and before i forget to ask, i was wondering how colton tieman and jake flores was doing i wrote the flores a while back but have not got a letter yet, hope they still doing good oh and trevor shroder!!!?? how is he? i was thinking about that guy the other day.
well all is still doing great here in chesterfield things have acually been picking up alot, like we have this recent converts daughter that we going to start teaching soon. she got up and bore her testimony yesterday and it was the first time i think i have ever heard a non member do that haha. she said even tho i am not baptized ..yet haha it was so awesome!! was the most powerful testimony i have heard in a while it was great ! i love fast sundays. her family has been through so much, though it is so amazing to see how much our Heavenly Fathers gospel has blessed their family. like so her dads name is kirk and he is the recent convert of like a year and few months. him and his wife got in a divorce a while back and he met this other lady, sister hanes. they were sealed in the temple for time and all eternity just this friday. to see how happy they are now and now kirks daughter is changing and seeing and feeling the power of these divine truths she is now wanting to join. and kirks ex wife who was so anti mormon is reading the book of mormon and want to learn!
the power of the holy ghost is so real and it will always testify of what is true and bear witness of our loving Father in Heaven and His Son. it has been such a wonderful blessing to see the Lords work and being able to be sealed to our families for eternity! what love He has for us !!! i love seeing His gospel spread and bless the lifes of others and as i work to build his kingdom he is building me to be a better me :)
i love you all so much!! thank you for being the best family anyone could ever ask for im so greatful that He loves us enough to be able to be sealed together and grow and learn together as a family. such a blessing i love you all so much ! keep up the faith! with it miracals will happen.

FUN WEEK

hey whats up family!,
sooooo alot to talk about hopefully i remember everything you said so i can answer haha but no worries about time we get alot of time to email now. but ya all is well here nothing too different happend this week just doing the Lords work.
oh halloween was super fun by the way we had a trunk or treat meet alot of non members hopefully can teach soon oh and this ward has a huge Nativity party thing and it should be way cool im pumped for it ! lots of non members come muhaha!! ha.
but ya still chugging along with courtnie our golden investigator!! woot woot. she just dieing to get baptized and to see how much the gospel has changed her is so awesome ! like from the first time we met her oh man i cant get over it.
oh and ya we heard about that earth quake!! apparently they have them all the time there! haha this place totally is where the garden of eden was ha its cursed now. haha but ya we didnt feel it but members down the street felt the after shock! crazy huh. haha 65 degrees thats it haha jk. ha its so crazy changing here, like one day it was like 30degrees and the next its 70 ha and the cold is a humid cold so it goes right through my clothes! ha but it not bad we are going to go to a thrift store and try and get some sweaters and stuff i got some gloves that work for now but i will let ya know if i need anything they say the winter is also pretty changing as well but dono ill keep ya posted.
thats awesome about cyni and steve 18acres thats alot ! way cool! oh and ya we had transfers a while ago, all is still the same, we think elder treasure is going to leave the next one tho which stinks but oh well. the next one is december 2. oh!
and we had stake conference this last sunday and man talk about full house this stake is huge but ya i saw elder gunell and his parents names are robert and lisa. and his grandpa is the guy that owns gunell tires! haha it was funny when i asked him but ya small world. but hey got to go glad tori is talking with tobin and every one is ok i pray for you all every night ! love you all and i will write ya today its raining pretty good today so we will have lots of time ha yesterday its was a weird kinda of rain its like a mist ha it does not even get the ground wet haha missiouri is funny weird ha but love you all... talk to you soon i sending you a surprise this week! :)

howdy yall! haha,
ha hey!! how is life ! thats so crazy tori is home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my ! thats awesome she got to go to the temple before she got released! i would love to do that as well if i could! and instead of mi amigos i want some of mamas home cooking !! and i can show ya a lil bit of the stuff i have been learning out here ha it gonna be sweet!.
so alot has happend this week and i totally forgot my planer so i going to have to go off memory.. oh dear haha. so wed. we had a zone meeting and i got to meet my new zone for the first time in a place called branson missouri its like a g rated las vegas haha its awesome. but at the meet it was soooo fun like we got new zone leaders and they are so cool and fun like they made the meeting fun and spiritual it was perfect! and i got to meet some way great missionarys. we actually have two elders and one sister from arizona!! ahah the sister is from page and the zone leader elder is from tucsan or how ever its spelt ha and the other is a district leader named elder gunell from gildert !!! hes awesome i talked with him a bunch we are going to go hang out when we all get back ! any way that was super fun i enjoyed that alot and i even learned alot.
i dont know why but it has taken so long for me to realize this but we always say that we represent Jesus Christ and i finally realized that its a litteral term like we are acting on his behalf ! so it is soooo important of what we do think say everything. oh how great the calling ha although it is important to have fun i must always remember who i am acting on behalf of. its so amazing to be able to say that i am worthy to represent our Lord and Savior.. i cant defiantly see why it was hard for tori to end her calling. but! if you remember the sacroment prayer said every sunday, " to eat in rememberance", and to "witness unto thee" to testify of him, and " that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy son". so as we take thy sacrament we are all to act on and represent our Savior.. so even tho name tags are pretty cool ha we are ALL called to the work and oh how great the calling :) ha i love this work and as i see the amazing changes in families that it brings and the joy and happiness that comes with. i could talk on and on haha there is so much to talk about ! but got to go:( sorry but ill talk to you all next week.
i love you tori!! thanks for being such an amazing example of a choice servant !! i hope to become at least half the missionary you were!!! and as there is still work to be done any where you go keep it up:) love ya family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey everyone ha we finally got a normal Monday of emailing ha such a relief. but thats so awesome that sounded like that was a way bomb camping trip we totally should make that a tradition!! especially in two years ha. haha ya it has like no tred on that back tire either so sand is not the best for the 50 but it still so fun. hunters the man by the way ha how did he fix it ? ha tell him thanks ha and sorry ya when you let it sit for too long the tubes weaken and those tires are lame so not help at all ha. if he gets more he should have like ktm or honda put them in for him. oh and the back tire is new i just remembered haha ops how the heck he get that on man he really is the man haha those are a pain. oh did anthany go did he find a job?? i pray for him hopefully he gets one soon!
oh man holy cowwwww!!!!!! 11 days and counting!!! thats crazy! i miss her so much it stinks our missions over lapped so off ha but its ok ill see her may 29th 2013! woot woot! ha it will be awesome! ah i keep forgetting to write them! when they get there hopefully i can just remember to put a letter in with yours and i can knock it all out in one swing haha tell them i love them and sorry. thats sweet justin and jarid going to get to hang out that would be way cool they would be way good for each other they like good opposites ha if that make since. ahhh dang aunt kim! ha they are awesome tell them thank you and i will for sure write them no worries.
sooo great to hear how well everyone is doing! this week was way great for us too especially the weekend! so friday we had to go on an undercover mission ha we like staked out this house all morning on hahaha creepy i know but it worked haha. we were told by bishop to find out what happen to this member that they had not seen in a while. the reason we had to be sneaky is because she has this crazy hooligan son who is GINORMOUS ha and he is very anti and he is abusive soo ya not good so we waited out side there house, which by the way was by our apartments so it was not as sketchy as it sounds ha, but ya we waited for him to leave and when he finally did we moved in! ha and then just found out that she had just moved back to utah ha. it was fun tho. then later that day we had got a call from some guy is utah that said his neighbor had just moved there and didnt have anyone to help move in to there apartment, also right by ours. so we told him sure later found out that the family was a man and his wife and there 8 year old son THEY WERE NOT LDS?? from Utah haha crazy right but ya we helped them out they were way nice hopefully they will let use teach them when we go over to eat with them they offered to feed us ha cool huh i love this area ha. then sunday was amazing too like always! ha we had three investigators come to church and a really less active guy came again hes way cool. Lerry getz is the name of one of the investigators he is a pretty crazy old dude he is like a a brummer like for a band back in the day but i guess he drove truck for a long time too and when i told him that dad owns a trucking he was like heyyyy hook me up see if i can drive for him haha so ya this is me asking k ha but hes a funny guy. then COURTNIE came again to church again!! with her little son collin ! she is so awesome best investigator ever i really have a good feeling about her she even said she would totally get baptized! we just have to talk to our mish pres because she has had an abortion before and thats one of those eh things but ya so we keeping her is our prayers and hoping she sticks with it and she still seems like she really wants to !
oh ya! i totally forgot so sunday morning we were walking out to go to church and we walk out side and there was soooo much smoke! and it smelt like fire wood! so we walked out to our apartment complex and found out one the the buildings in the complex was on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was crazy! and we didnt even know ! ha we didnt hear any sirens or anything because we in the back by the freeway ha we lucky it was not our building or we would have burned up in companion study haha but ya we went over and took some pictures and then had to head out for church. oh and we later found out that that family ,the bausewells, that we helped move in on friday almost moved in by that building talk about count your blessings.
any way sorry this is a long email we had lots of time today ha but hope ya enjoyed it ha not really spiritual this time but have still been growing and learning so much every week i feel like my spiritual brain is about to overload and EXPLODE ha but i love it so much and i love learning ha weird i know who would have ever thought those words would have came out of my mouth ha and reading! ha but any way ill shut up ha i love you all so much you have all, friends, and family, everyone have all saved me spiritualy i could not have grown up in a more perfect place for me especially you mom and dad thank you a million times over love you and will talk to ya later

BEST DAY EVER!!!!
Oh great story in this email..... the Lord knows when people are ready to hear the Gospel.
I sent Mitchell a package this last week. He needed his coat that we had purchased at home but he was heading to his mission in the hot of the summer in Oklahoma so i told him i would send it to him when it started cooling off. Doesn't seem it would be cooling off anywhere because we are still so hot in Arizona but i guess other parts of the country do have seasons and fall weather. so i packed up his coat and a couple long sleeve white shirts and some goodies and treats for him and his companion. He had also been asking for a tape recorder so he can use it like a journal because he can't seem to find the time to write in his journal. so i got one and decided to have all the family talk on the tape before i sent it, so he could hear us. I had Kael talk into the microphone and it was the funniest thing cause he kept putting it to his ear so he could hear mitchell talk back, but then i rewound the tape and he heard his voice and he thought that was so cool to hear himself.. fun stuff i am sure Mitch will treasure that tape forever and hopefully we will send him another one when Claire starts talking.

hey family!! so i got the package! ahaha thanks soooo much just in time it starting to rain and get cold again haha and thank you for the tape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahah that was soosooooooo coool and made my week that much better haha kael is soooo funny i miss that lil guy ah but soo good to hear from everyone even if it felt weird it was not on my end ha loved it. oh and just so you know mike n ikes and hot tamales have modified food starch in em haha but elder treasure will love them ;) haha love you all thanks sooo much.
so this last week was so amazing!!!! main reason why is that we got this new amazing golden or diamond investigator her name is courtnie. her friend from utah refered her to us. so we went over monday and she ended up feeding us and we got to teach her ! ha and she really liked it and go way interested so we went back like the next day to teach her again and she really opened up to us and had been praying to find answers. she kept the commitments we gave her and then she ran into some bad stuff. she went online to learn more because she was really interested but ran into alot of anti!!! i very strongly dislike anti haha. we were going to meet and teach her again and she actually called us to warn us she had alot of hard questions and that she was going to bash hahah like crazy huh she is the best i love her haha so nice. any way we went over to her house and tried to answer the questions best we could. by the time we left she still wanted to learn and still had some issues and we were so nervous she was not going to want to learn any more or meet but as we were saying bye she was like so when is church ? haha we were like huh? haha we told her when and she said k ill be there. oh and by the way she is about 30 and has a 6 year old and 16 year old and an 18 year old. any way she said ya we will be there and ill bring collin the 6 and monica the 16. we so excited! but lil worried but so sunday came around and we had been praying sooo much for her and her family and even put signs up all over our apartment that said to pray for her ha and it just proved that prayer is so real and totally works ! sunday came and so did courtnie!!!!! and monica and collin!!!! and it was soo perfect the ward welcomed them all so much ah it was so perfect and she loved it they all did! it was great!! they made friends with the jones family and even had dinner at there house and they answered so many of there questions and ah it was perfect ah man Heavenly Fathers love for us is sooo strong. every thing is going so great with her she is so happy and she actually bought us groceries ! like alot of them haha she is awesome. but ya it was an awesome week just like every week. but hey sorry i got to go but oh no worries about meds i got them and should be great for a while ha i figuring this all out ha finally and im eating well and feeling great thanks so much again for the package of goods loved hearing your voices love you all sooo much stay safe and thanks again love elder houston

so this last week was so amazing!!!! main reason why is that we got this new amazing golden or diamond investigator her name is courtnie. her friend from utah refered her to us. so we went over monday and she ended up feeding us and we got to teach her ! ha and she really liked it and go way interested so we went back like the next day to teach her again and she really opened up to us and had been praying to find answers. she kept the commitments we gave her and then she ran into some bad stuff. she went online to learn more because she was really interested but ran into alot of anti!!! i very strongly dislike anti haha. we were going to meet and teach her again and she actually called us to warn us she had alot of hard questions and that she was going to bash hahah like crazy huh she is the best i love her haha so nice. any way we went over to her house and tried to answer the questions best we could. by the time we left she still wanted to learn and still had some issues and we were so nervous she was not going to want to learn any more or meet but as we were saying bye she was like so when is church ? haha we were like huh? haha we told her when and she said k ill be there. oh and by the way she is about 30 and has a 6 year old and 16 year old and an 18 year old. any way she said ya we will be there and ill bring collin the 6 and monica the 16. we so excited! but lil worried but so sunday came around and we had been praying sooo much for her and her family and even put signs up all over our apartment that said to pray for her ha and it just proved that prayer is so real and totally works ! sunday came and so did courtnie!!!!! and monica and collin!!!! and it was soo perfect the ward welcomed them all so much ah it was so perfect and she loved it they all did! it was great!! they made friends with the jones family and even had dinner at there house and they answered so many of there questions and ah it was perfect ah man Heavenly Fathers love for us is sooo strong. every thing is going so great with her she is so happy and she actually bought us groceries ! like alot of them haha she is awesome. but ya it was an awesome week just like every week. but hey sorry i got to go but oh no worries about meds i got them and should be great for a while ha i figuring this all out ha finally and im eating well and feeling great thanks so much again for the package of goods loved hearing your voices love you all sooo much stay safe and thanks again love elder houston

hey family !
whats up ! oh man conference was so awesome! haha it was still hard to stay awake in some parts i wont lie haha i dont know what it is about church benches but man the put me out haha. ya Pres. Monson was so funny in preisthood session haha he like did this dance looking thing hahah with ya could have seen it mom but ya so many great talks like Hollands, and Eyrings. speaking of which when you all get it at home if you happen to get an extra one you should totally send it out me way ! ha like when it in the ensign. thats so crazy!!!! dads in the young men presidency! what does he think of it?? ha. does he still have meetings out the wazoo ?. haha thats so weird about the state center not being a stake center any more ha we are in a stake center in chesterfeild its way nice not as big as ours tho so that will be weird for it to just be a normal church building. thank you so much for the letters mom i love then sooo much. sorry running out of time so just a little that has been going on, this will be brief ha. but so i have been seeing some members from the branch every once in a while they were walking around spring feild ! haha its awesome that i not so far that i still see them. but, anyway i found out that that girl, crash we were teaching in mt grove got baptized!!!! wooooooooooo it made my week to hear that i finally feel like im making a difference! its such a great feeling to just know the joy and the great things she has waiting for her through this gospel. im so excited for her. it makes me just realize how lucky and blessed i was to be able to choose to have such amazing parents that chose to be so strong in the church and to help you to choose to have the joys it brings thank you mom and dad for loving me so much to showing me these things and letting me to use my agency to choose and grow you are the perfect examples of a loving Heavenly Father who wants the same thing for all his children and im honored to be able to help him do just that to give other the opportunities to make the choice its the least i can do for all he has blessed me with. i love you family soooo much sorry have not been able to tell ya much that has been going on the past few letters ha i trying but you know me haha love ya so much and i will write you back asap.

hey family,
sorry this week soooo much has happend and im not sure how much i can write in email so i will write yall another letter. haha drake was like shot at in a gun fight of a bunch of mexicans like talk to sis thompson she could prob tell you or show you the pictures its crazy!!! haha but he is ok. but ya i have put on quite a few pounds too i weigh 171 lbs!!! my i a fatty haha. oh by the way i got permision to go see the endo doc do so i think i am going to go like this week if possible i almost out of stuff haha but do you want me to see the one that you gave me??. so about the emails ya send me them if ya can if not no biggy i just dont have not enough time for everyone and i try to at least email everyone a every few weeks ha its hard ha. so how did hunter like his letter and card ?? oh and did ya like that talk i sent i loved it and thought it would be a good fhe thing. oh ok ya ill try and write more and some stuff thats been going on so you can forward them to pres and them . by the way how is cameron doing !? i sent him a few letters and i just got them all back like a week ago so i dont know if he has got any im sorry tell him i said hi and sorry i have not gotten the out i think someing wrong with the address i have or something dono. i emailed shalyse but i forgot to tell her that thats fine she can send the blanket then. ahh sorry i out of time but i will write you a letter sorry cant forward that. i have some REALLY life changing things happen this week its been a very spiritual week i have never felt so close to God and the Lord in my entire life nor then i ever think i could. hey family !!
- i got transferd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it came to fast i was just starting to get comfortable in mt grove and things were really picking up we hade 4 baptisms!!! but its all good i know this is where the Lord wants me, with out a doubt. so the place im in now is the chesterfield ward in springfield south stake. its the smallest area in the entire mission ha and my with the smallest missionary in the entire mission hahah. elder treasure is his name and working hard is his game ! haha dont let his size fool ya ha. but man i love its here sooo much !! springfield is alot like mesa its a city and a suburb area so i on a bike finally ! woot woot my leg are lil sore but its a good sore shows that im feeling the work now ha. oh and before i forget my adress is 2935 w. maplewood apartment c106 springfield missouri 65807 . so now yall can write me so letters haha and sorry i have not yet i will tho i promise transfer has been crazy. but where was i oh ya i LOVE this place and mom you will too ha. so the ward is super active its like 85% active so ya awesome and they are all like young or old familys and they are almost all doctors or nurses! haha no way i dying out here haha jk knock on wood. oh and get this the bishop and his son are celiacs tooo!! haha more of my fellow messed up stomac people!! ha so the ward is really aware of it and they ALL feed us like we eat dinner every night so thats way nice. we are way spoiled here ha. and mom you shouldnt have to worry about me not finding stuff here to eat either because they have a store here called price cutters and oh man the have a HUGE section for gluten free!!!! woooo haha even more then back at home. it just a little pricie. but ya missionary work wise here its alittle slow but thats about to change we have an awesome mission ward leader and he is helping us out with loads of less actives and me and elder treasure going to try ever harder to find some investigators and ya oh man im so pumped its going to be great. ha well sorry i have to go sorry about draging that on but just wanted to ease some stress on mother she sounded pretty worried in her last letter ha, love ya mom!!. ha ok well i will right soon and now you know my address so same to ya love you all be safe. oh and hunter and anthony stay outta trouble a little ok haha jk i know you all are good and keeping mom happy love yall talk to ya soon !!

hey family
so how has every thing been going ?? so i got my food boxes ! haha thats alot but so awesome ! thanks loads. i agree on not doing that again by the way you spent over 50 bucks!! but thank you sooo much sorry i didnt read your last week email so i couldnt reply on it ha dads was right to just send it and i eat like a dang cow out here so i dont thing there will be much left by transfers ha. thanks for the shirts too i loved them!!! ha now i dont have to try to explain to anyone what they look like haha cuz truck drivers out here are alot different ha but ya thanks. oh and the recorder is awesome but not what i was looking for but it will work i want some thing kinda like so i can use it and send the tapes home or pack them away kinda like a journal i dont have time to write in journal so i thought it would help ha. but ya no worries on it will work :). you spent too much on me already. oh ok so went to doc to day and got perscriptions filled but went to walmart to pick them up and they want 100 bucks !!?? why it was like 120 or something and i told the doc if i could get the pens i would like to but he was like ya you can so i dono if thats why its soo much or what and then the dork didnt get me perscriptions for the needles!!? so ya i still good on insulin for lil while but i dono what to do i will prob call sis merkley tonight but ya just lil confused sorry dont mean to be a pain. and i need strips soon too i think and i dont think i got that either hahah i dont think i know what im doing and it not helping ha sorry. but any way i have a pretty cool story that happend this week that i wanted to tell ya about.
so this week has been pretty great we have gotten like three new investigators and another one this sunday. the merritt family is one they are like set the are getting baptized some time in the near future! way cool. then there is a girl named crash i not sure i told you about her or if i did sorry ha but she is way cool and she kinda has a set date of sep. 17 to be baptized !! then the other one we have we have not got to really meet yet so dono bout them but way cool i just hope i dont get transfered this time ha.
but any way the highlight of this week was one of our old investigators adam and brandee they are the younger couple that have been seeing the missionaries for a while now and have not been to reseptive until just like two weeks ago. ha so it was last week i cant remember the day but we were sleeping. ha and i woke up cuz my blood sugar felt sooo low so i woke up and got some juice and went pee. i was sitting in bed when i heard like this pounding noise. i was like what ?? then i heard it again! some one was pounding on our door! i looked what time is was and it was 3 o clock in the morning !! i was like elder!!! haha. any way we finally got up and went to the door because the person what not going away! we open it up and we see adam drunk out of his mind ! hahaha more drunk people ! i dont know what it is about us and drunks but we sure do atracked them ha anyway. he was really mad and worked up about life i guess he has been having a really hard time he cant find a job and he has a lil girl and his wife to take care of. every one gives him such a hard time for it but he really is trying to make a good life for them its just really hard. so we were trying to give him advice not really knowing what to say just going as the spirit directed. we accually said some pretty powerful things and he liked it but he was so worked up and made he wouldnt listen he just kept saying ive prayed and i prayed and nothing is getting better and im about to just give up im done guys im done. it really was so sad to see he is such a good guy and so i looked around as it was quiet and saw that all of us me adam and elder blatter where folding our arms. ha man it was like the spirit kicking me in the face!! i said hey lets say a prayer and so we did and i dont even remember any thing i said but man could you feel the change. the holy ghost felt like he was now in our little circle. when i was done we looked at adam and he just was quiet.. then after a minute of quiet he looked up and said wow guys i feel really good. im not mad any more ha. it was such an amazing feeling i have not felt the spirit so strong it so long you could almost see it it was so thick the feeling was just indiscribable.. he ended up talking and feeling alot better and then went back home. im out of time but i just wanted to share this with ya to show ya that the power of prayer is so really and we need to do it alot more ha sorry got to go i love you all so much and ill write soon hope ya liked story cuz i loved the expirience i will never forget it love ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone i hope you are enjoying Mitchell's emails. He is growing so much from week to week. It amazes me how he has grasped the Gospel and how he has become such a great missionary in such a short time. He keeps telling me sorry for not writing very long letters but he really is. so sorry i have not been writeing much alot has been going on we been on like three exchanges this month haha its awesome like one with elders in my district then the zone leaders and now the assisstance !!! im a lil scared of them, they in high power haha it'll be fun tho, i know it. so not much new happening that i can think of today sorry i kinda in the clouds today but we did get two new investigators and the said that will get baptized already. one is a part member family the merritts and the other is a 16 year old girl who is sooooo awesome! i know will get baptized as long as her parents let her but she is cool haha.
so some things new that i have learned this week isssss..... oh in abraham 3:22-23 that is scripture mastery by the way but it tells what spirits are made of which i totally didnt know ! way cool. and i watched the joseph smith: the prophet of the restoration movie the other day and i highly recommend yall to watch it for family night its soo awesome i love it one of my favorites. one of the quotes i been using from it this week is that we are building the lords kingdom. but he is also building us as we do. ha way cool and the lord will rarely call us when we are high he calls upon us when we are at a low to do his work. anyway ha ya i think thats all i got haha

so sorry i have not been writeing much alot has been going on we been on like three exchanges this month haha its awesome like one with elders in my district then the zone leaders and now the assisstance !!! im a lil scared of them, they in high power haha it'll be fun tho, i know it. so not much new happening that i can think of today sorry i kinda in the clouds today but we did get two new investigators and the said that will get baptized already. one is a part member family the merritts and the other is a 16 year old girl who is sooooo awesome! i know will get baptized as long as her parents let her but she is cool haha.
so some things new that i have learned this week isssss..... oh in abraham 3:22-23 that is scripture mastery by the way but it tells what spirits are made of which i totally didnt know ! way cool. and i watched the joseph smith: the prophet of the restoration movie the other day and i highly recommend yall to watch it for family night its soo awesome i love it one of my favorites. one of the quotes i been using from it this week is that we are building the lords kingdom. but he is also building us as we do. ha way cool and the lord will rarely call us when we are high he calls upon us when we are at a low to do his work. anyway ha ya i think thats all i got haha

hey so whats up!!!
not much here.. alls been pretty quiet with the investigators but got a few new ones ! which is awesome! but also had to kinda drop a few they just wont stick with commitments :( its way sad because i want soooo bad for them to just get it ! ha but they dont and its ok they just not ready elder blatter said. he said some times that happens its normal. but ya ok so holy cow this place has the most crazy bipolar weather in the world !! hahah its has been soo hot some days then out of no where it drops 20 degrees and its a down pour of rain!! so crazy ha and kinda fun, like last night ! oh man we where at these members house for dinner and like its all nice and sunny and we eat dinner and go out side to look at like land and cows and goats and stuff and out of no where this huge crazy storm just rolls in!. haha it seriously was like a bad dream or like a scary movie haha we where like driving home and these branches where falling and they kinda lived in the middle of forest stuff in no- where-ville ha so ya leaves in the wind where going as fast as we where and we where going like 45 down this street haha. SO AWESOME! ha. it was pretty cool i was waiting for the tornado warning to go off but never did just loads of trees fell over. haha oh and all of mtn groves power was out for few hours and we only had this little tiny flash light haha. and all the stop signs at this intersection by our house where going crazy they looked like they were dancing ha its amazing they didnt snap or something. but any way thats all that really went on crazy this week ha sorry:/. but thats awesome about all the mish calls!! ya ryan emailed me but i have not got time to read it yet i getting behind on emails sorrry tell him sorry i will write and the webbs too and tell cyni and g ma and pa that i trying to write them today too but ya. thats awesome bout work too and dad got up!!! ahaha awesome!! but sorry gotta go i will write ya today we got lots of time ! cuz of rain.

hey family.....
whats up family! so not much going on. this week been pretty cool we went on exchanges will these elders in my district haha and his name is elder mike jones haha hunter might like that haha hes pretty funny. he's from phx too he lives like on thunderbird road and i forgot the other one ha. hes been out for a whole year on Thursday!! he said hes going to burn a shirt haha its like tradition i guess cool huh. oh so like two nights ago me and elder blatter had a pretty interesting experience ha. so it was monday night and we had just got in for the night and were planing for tomorrow and this old guy that we had been seeing steve richie is his name he is also from mesa too haha small world but ya he called us. he sounded a little weird and he said he needed a blessing so we thought ok we should prob go. man it was sooooo weird being out soo late it was like ten at night hahah that sounds soooo weird coming from me huh haha. but any way he lives just out of town at this RV park like campground thing ha any way. we got there and he came out and man was he wasted haha he was soooooo drunk. i dont know if i told you about steve before but a little back round on him. he grewup in mesa az was a born a member of the church he was preparing to go on mish and got sucked into the draft to go to Vietnam. it really mad him mad so he stated to drink alot he then got out of army went back to home in mesa still drinking and smoking now too became a truck driver got few DUIs and now has warrants out for his arrest and he doesnt want to pay them so he just left and when to missouri ha he now there living on the military checks in a motorhome kinda like our old one we had. anyway we had been trying to work with him to bring him back to chuch but cant get him to stop drinking. any way so ya he calls us we go over he super drunk. oh and so we had a really crazy lightning storm the other night and i guess it hit a tree ! right next to his motor home like a few feet and it messed up the tree pretty good ha and really freaked him out ha. he thinks God is pissed at him! haha so he is showing us it and stumbling over him self and he is like yelling haha. so we finally get him into his home and sit him down. he then takes out his patriarchal blessing and he says he wants to share it with us. as he starts reading it i wont say what it said but as he read it he started to cry and told us he failed it, he failed his mission here. he wants so bad to stop but cant like. the only way i could describe it is like in gladiator with russell crow and when he sees his family hanging and burnt and he had snot and tears going down his face. thats what steve looked like ha. it was so sad tho to see this ex military guy from nam soo sad i started tearing up too. even tho he was drunk and farting all over the place ha.. the spirit of him reading his blessing and pouring out his heart to us.. i really felt it so strong and kinda felt his pain he was going through. i think it was ment for us to feel that to remind us of the atonement and that our Savior also felt that and much more when he took upon the sins of the world.. it was such a testimony builder and made my love for the savior grow soo much im so greatful that He was willing to do that for me and for steve and all of us to make it able for us to repent and to better know what we go through to better help us. i truly love the Savior with all my heart.

hey mother soo ill answer some of your questions while i have time but all it well this week same ol stuff i cant really think of anything to crazy happening. sorry i think my memory is geting worse out here like since i dont write down when cool stuff happens right away i forget about it!!! its soooo frustrating ! but it cool haha dad is awesome and funny i feel same way at times thats funny he rewrote it haha i love him! its cool he dont have to write back all the time just every once in a while. but yes got my scriptures and thank you sooooo much. haha and the weather is sooooo nuts out here it by polar like the other day we ran out of miles in the car so we had to walk around and it was soooo hot like in 90s then out of no where like we walk in this dudes house and walk out and it was in the 70s and pouring rain !!! hahah. awesome i love it so we got to run around in rain for lil till we got to our car. but ya it been prtty hott and waaaayyy humid all the honker bugs are coming out now they are GINORMOUSSS haha. so i dont know about the diabetes doctor if i should get one did you talk to sis merkly i know there use to be a diabetic missionary our a lil while back so ask what he did but ya maybe pray about it ? ha sorry. oh and i good on insulin for a lil while i just opened one and still have anther full one. sorry got to go i will write again this week and i going to freaking send my sd card soon !! ahaha sorrrry but oh and food is good kinda i just ran out this month but i good for now i just got more money and oh i spent a lil on my card so just check it out but make sure weird stuff is not getting taken out just check it when you can thanks mom love ya talk to ya soon love ya!!!!

hahaha nope not really some basket ball tho so thats pretty sweeet and we go over to this old peoples house every mondaythe dixsons, they are funny we always eat lunch then play this board game they made up. its kinda like Sorry but a lil different its way fun tho. but holy cow this week has been sooooo up and down. like with every thing. like with me and my comp. we got in a fight the other day ! just yelling ha not punching no worries ha. like he is sooooooo awesome some times but weird ha and othertimed he just gets soooo mad at the dumbest stuff, i dono i try soooo hard to be nice and help him see the bright side but i just couldnt take it any more. and i know that im not prefect and that i can be a pain at times so i work on it. he just thinks nothing is wrong with him and wont gives people chances like with our investigators and is really lazy about some stuff ahhhhh. haha sorry i cant say anything bad about him he is a good missionary and i need to just stop being a winer and deal with it haha i trying. ha but we off and on all the time. our investigators are doing pretty good too we had a alot of promises that would come to chuch and they all ended up falling through :(!!!!!!!!!!!! but it ok i trying to keep spirits high and we keeping with them. this week has just been a hot cold week for sure. but how is dad ?? how was his b day did he get his card yet?? oh and i got your package thank you sooooooooooo much!! sorry i will keep better care of these ahah i wont lose them. i still miss my old ones those were with me from when i was 8!!! and i still have my p blessing i just lost me lil mini one you made me in it. is that bad if some one finds it and reads it?? hope not. so how is the insurance stuff workning out ?? oh and my sd is still here haha i took a few more pictures for yall ha but ill send it today for sure kk. sorry this was long email i only have 10 minutes left :(

i know hunter he is smart kid and this IS the only and true church. it took me untill the past year to find that out finally for my self and the mission helped alot like way alot. i know my faith even out here has been shakin a few times from stuff i didnt know tho. but every time it has i have just knelt and prayed and was reasured of the lds church. so i know with all my heart it is the truth. its too hard to even desribe the things ive learned out here so bare with me haha sorry :/ ha. but maybe if he is really trying to see different stuff tell him to read the book of mormon tell all those kids to tell them to read it and them pray to know if is true tell them to read moroni 10: 3-5 and they will know all they need to know in this life sorry i feel like i blabing on but i hope that helped a lil and i know they will be ok especailly Hunter, he just needs to live worthally and the holy ghost will always testifiy these things. oh and my challenge for yall haha is too LIVE LIKE MISSIONARYS for a month. read and study every day have personal study and then companion study ( family study) ha k just try to do it if ya cant every night it ok. ha make sure you pray too before and after night and morning. and look for people that need the gospel and share it with them. i know with every bit of my heart that the blessing will pour out for you all. it might get hard at first like either 12:6 but i know you will be blessed and it will help. oh and try not to just ready but to share as you read share your testimonys and things you might have learned kk.

i know hunter he is smart kid and this IS the only and true church. it took me untill the past year to find that out finally for my self and the mission helped alot like way alot. i know my faith even out here has been shakin a few times from stuff i didnt know tho. but every time it has i have just knelt and prayed and was reasured of the lds church. so i know with all my heart it is the truth. its too hard to even desribe the things ive learned out here so bare with me haha sorry :/ ha. but maybe if he is really trying to see different stuff tell him to read the book of mormon tell all those kids to tell them to read it and them pray to know if is true tell them to read moroni 10: 3-5 and they will know all they need to know in this life sorry i feel like i blabing on but i hope that helped a lil and i know they will be ok especailly Hunter, he just needs to live worthally and the holy ghost will always testifiy these things. oh and my challenge for yall haha is too LIVE LIKE MISSIONARYS for a month. read and study every day have personal study and then companion study ( family study) ha k just try to do it if ya cant every night it ok. ha make sure you pray too before and after night and morning. and look for people that need the gospel and share it with them. i know with every bit of my heart that the blessing will pour out for you all. it might get hard at first like either 12:6 but i know you will be blessed and it will help. oh and try not to just ready but to share as you read share your testimonys and things you might have learned kk.

hey its me again,
sssup from missouri! ha. Oh man this week been pertty ordinary....until this weekend!!!! now its was awesome!! so first i will tell you about shay and jason. they are the hippies i told you about they are so cool i love them. but any way so we had not heard from them like in a few weeks and were getting kinda worried. then i was reading your letter that you wrote me mom about how tori was having that same problem with one of her invistigators and you said hers worked out great. soo i started to not worry as much. then like later that same day we got news that they are going to get married!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! so awesome its not till October buttttt they are totally set on it and they have even set a baptism date right after!!!!!! on the 14th of that month!!!!!. it was seriously the coolest thing aw i love them ! haha and we get to go to the wedding ha its gonna be so cool she wants tie die dresses and hers is going to be like patch work white or something and everyones going to be bare foot hahaha. she ever is wanting to get baptised in a river ahah oh man im soooo pumped.
then also we saw jack again this weekend and ha we got him to cry again hah a good cry tho and helping him to want to read the book of mormon more! like along with the bible. oh man he is coming soooooo far he is the coolests dude ha and he loves me and elder blatter ha he gets so excited when we come over we always have such a great lesson with him its soo crazy. i dont think he knows that he is teaching me soo much every time we go to teach him ha. he has such a strong spirit with him its so cool. haha oh and get this he loves cowboy western stuff like me!! ha he was showing me all his sweet movies and collects the coolest old antique stuff too haha hes awesome i wish you could meet him! ha. haha oh one thing that was pretty nasty about dinner tho ha. so he been having depression proplems because the army and he been addicted to pain pills bad and he just went through that nasty divorce with his wife that he still loves like ALOT ha but any way so he had not been out in a while and apparently been in his fridge lately ha. so when we made dinner he wanted some milk with it and you know i cant say no to milk ha. so we all got huge glasses. haha like it tasted kinda funny at first but i just thought its probably like fat free or something ha. and milk is alot so i just drank it. hah well after he left the room we checked it just to see hahah and it was expired!!!!!!!!! it was so sour haha. so we had some stomac probs just a lil that night ha but not too bad.
so i cant remember if i told you at all about amber but she is an investigator that i met like on my second day here. she is a newly single mother of 4 boys. she just got a divorce from a highly abusive husband :(. like if i could meet this dude i would oh man! totally jerk. she is the nicest funniest lady. like that guy is a tard. but any way she is so cool like just knowing her for the couple weeks we do me and elder baltter love her. she just has this different way of looking at things she notices things alot of people would miss. ha shes awesome lets just say that ha any way we taught her on saturday and the spirit was soooo strong like i was even crying like a lil baby with her haha she trust us soo much i told want to say too much but she was telling us how she left him and everyone gave her sooo much crap for it because he was rich and all this stuff and she feels so bad because her boys miss him. and man she loves her boy sooo much and she is just been through sooo much more than i could even imagine and still is and now struggling with money and man it seriously tares me apart to think anyone has to go through what she has and yet stilll she stays soooo strong and knows it will be ok and is growing so much and loving the gospel its so cool to see it makes this work so great.
but sorrry gotta go hope i made sense in all that has been going on. i had to type fast love you all and just want you to know this is the full true restored gospel i know it with out a doubt in my heart and it blesses soooooo many lives and god loves and knows each and everyone of us as individuals. love you family i will write ya hopefully this week some time thank you for everything.!!

Happy 4th of July

happy fourth!!! sorry ya yesterday we could not email the library was closed it was dumb and to day it dont get much time ethier because its not pday!!!! but just want to tell ya all it good and thank you for the info on the chicken nuggets haha i ll have to check it out i know where both of those stores are they are in our square. but thats so funny !!!! i miss claire crawling !!! lame hahah she sounds like alot of fun already haha that tub baby girl you should send me pictures of the family i dont have any i miss my family ! ha. i did hear about colten we actually email almost every week it not much just quick notes most of time and drake too its awesome and kenric and landon have been too so its nice but i hate this timed email thing. time almost up now i hate it but i wrote you and will write again i got a card to send ! ahah happy birthday and tell g pa tom happy birthday for me too!. sorry i cant email much of whats going on but i said a couple funny stories that happened in my letter haha hopefully you will enjoy them and tell tori bout them i think she will like it ha it just shows that i a bigger hair head then her hahah. but just know all is well here its been hard to catch people this week because of the fourth and it summer and stuff but we keeping our heads held high and its good work. thank you mom for the email haha i love hearing about the family i miss and love you all sooo much tell hunter and dad i will write then soon so they better do the same. and you should defiantly send me everyones birthdays if you get time love ya mom be safe on your birthday vacation!!!!!! love you soo much !!!!

Doing Well in Missouri
haha hey every body!!!!hey all is well in missouri. we just got back from Houston, MO on saturday it was pretty cool no new investigators there tho kind of a bummer,but its cool. i actually gotpretty sick this last week so we couldnt get much teaching in for two days it was bad i still not sure what happend ha. like i had a fever at first and realllly bad stomac pains me and elder blatter think it was this weird mexican food place we ate at haha it was a wanna be mexican food place haha. but it was pretty good but must have just been bad meat any way. it started getting pretty bad so my comp gave me a really awesome blessing and i passed out on the coutch for a couple hours and no joke as soon as i woke up i felt totally fine! its was such a testimony builder of the power of the savior and priesthood power it was soo awesome. and it was it perfect timing because yesterday we got the feeling to go to aplace called Norwood MO i think was what it was called its outwest of where i live. any way it was my first time going out there and elder blatters second time but neither of us knew what to expect but we followed in faith and faith lead us right where we needed to be it was so cool haha. the investigators name is jack elder blatter rememberd meeting him his first time going there back at the begining of his mish. oh man i dont even know where to start with him! ha. he is a older guy i thnink he said he was 57 he looked younger but ya. we spent about an hour just listening to him and all his life stories talk about wow he has been through sooooo much. i wont be able to tell ya all about him but maybe in a letter or something because his story really is amazing i truely admire him. but any way where he is out now is so perfect i mean for us. he was just in a terrible motorcycle accident and got hookedon these pain killers that led to depression and nightmares about the war and led to a really bad divorce which he is oneof those big bad tough dudes but yet is all it to mushy love stuff ha. but ya he loved his wife soo much and still does i wish i could show you all he does for her > but another time any way ha sorry. as we started listening he was just goingon and on and on and we didnt even have to say anything about our lesson he just kept saying all this stuff about the gospelthat just took us by suprise that he believed it oh man it was just ahh it too hard to explain! it was just prooves that we are just here on a mission to find gods elect prepared. we honestly just asked him if he would be baptised and he said yes. it wasso amazing too much to type sorry just know god is soo real and all around us everyday we just have to stop and look around. he is in every one and he will guide you to where he needs youor where you need to be. its only been week two and i have learned and grown soo much more then i thought i could in a life time. it truely is mind blowing and so humbling at the same time. i love it so much. i wont lie it has been hard at times but the highs top the lows by far by soooooooooo far ha.but ya thats all i have for this week there just has been toooo much going on to all say ha. well i love you all and praythat every thing is ok at home sorry dad that i missed fathers day!!!!! know i love ya and i working for them blessings for you! and that family love ya. oh and mom im pretty sure you have enough "i told you mitchell" 's to last a life time out here haha i really wish i would have listend and went shopping with you for food a few times before i left haha because its really biteing me it the butt now haha but i doing ok. :)hehe ha sorry i going to talk to the pres and see
if i can get some thing worked out because my food cost soo much but any way. hunter i freaking miss you so much. i dontreally know why but my mission has been reminding me of you and me back in the day ha. like at nights when we use to remind eachother to say our prayers haha. haha and how you would finishand would ask me are you done ?? and if i didnt say anything you knew i wasnt haha and how we would make sure that we would pray for no bad dreams hahah and then would take a few second to always make sure you said good night to me. ha ill tell ya what i have had some crazy weird dreams out here and been missing those memories bout now ha. but any way i love you all soooooooo much and sorry i could not tell ya more ha i just love this gosple so much and i want the whole world to know it and its truth but untill next perperation day-Love Elder Houston a mission is my game:) Officially in Missouri

hey everybody!,Hey family so whats up its been like six days and no letters !!?? jk i totally forgot you guys were going to utah ya lucky ducks. But ya sorry my p day is on mondays but we didnt have time to email yesterday that long the library had something going on so we got to come today wooot woot !! so ya p day is still on monday kk. :) ha sorry about all the trouble with the emailing and the computer stuff but glad i got to come today because every one emailed me to day ha and no one did yesterday like mike did and drake and colten and YOU! ha so no worries it all worked out. thats awesome Tobin is alive and well ha and he sounds like he was an awesome missionary! im lil bumbed i wont get to see him for ever!! but its ok. ha i love ya mom thanks your amazing!!So WOW sooooooo much has been going on its nuts i feel like i have been here for ever when i write in me journal ha but it really has only been about a week. but her is a little that has been going on since i last wrote. So ya that next morning we all woke up to a CRAZY lightning and thunder storm! like i looking out my window and i was sure i was going to get sucked out in to tornado or die or something ha. but our APs were like nope that just normal storm in oklahoma.. i was like AP says what!!?? ha. but he was right like with in like 30 minutes it was gone and no one died ha, pretty crazy stuff. Any way so we packed up and got in the vans that took us out to drop us all off ha i was in the car for soooo long it felt like because we had like 5 other missionaries to drop off before me because me stop was the last one ha. it was way far like as soon as i got there i got off met my trainer elder blatter, who is way awesome by that way he is really quite and a lil awkward when we first met but i farted a few times and he eventually opened up and he is freaking funny. any way so ya once i got droped off we had to drive another like hour to our house. hahaha oh man the first thoughts in my head as we pulled up to our home was HOLY CRAP hahah. ok so think of the getto-est place and times it by 10 and thats what moutain grove is haha at the time it was not funny but not it is as i think back to it. but ya where we live is not too bad compared to the rest of the houses around us our house is like middle class of mountain grove haha any who so funny i love it. i have not took many pictures because of time but i defiantly will take a butt load for yall. but ya soorry i still have lots to tell but i have to go sorry :( ill finish in my letter to ya or i will email ya the rest on monday !!! but all is good i did good shopping for food you would be proud haha but love you all so much and will write ya soon!!!!!!!!! oh and ya got all me meds love ya!!!!-elder houston
Update from the MTC
hey so forgot my flight plans again but i do remember most of it ha so leaving mtc at 3 then we flight out at 5 i beleave butya then we land in denver co. and will have a 45 min lay over sooooooo i can call you then it will be around 7 i think or 7 30so be prepared haha and i got a calling card and i still have alot of cash but i not sure how i pay for my bike hopefully i can usecard or i will have to spend most of it on bike but it will workout. any way ya we been packing up alllll day today hahaah i totally do NOT remember anything you and cyni showed me beforei left here ahah ops :). but ya things been great i pretty sadto leave tho mostly because i have made sooooo many awesome people here!!!. all my district and all my zone and my teachersesppecially bro peterson !. he has taught me so much these pastfew weeks its insane! and he went to my dream mission scottland/ireland mission !!! so i liked hearing those stories but ya have never been to a place like the mtc every one here is so nice and chill and everyone loves everyone like no joke! and the mixture of every ones testimonys and life storiesjust brings the spirit every where you go it so amazing i love it. im defiantly going to miss ever single one of them. ha i trying to take alot of pictures too of everything and everyone haha i even gave my camera to one of the sisters in my district to take some for me ahaha shes funny. she the black onehaha. uhmmmm i dono what else really been going one well therebeen alot of stuff just soooooo much i cant email it all i willwrite again soon as i get to tulsa i was told that we think our p days are changed to thursdays there so i will leet you know i love you all soooooo much.. hunter you sounding great! make sure you give tobin a hug for me and tell him i love him and will see him in two years. mom tell dad i working hard and trying to work even harder every day love ya!! love ya all!!!!

It's Official!
Mitchell is officially a missionary!! He got set apart Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning we saw him off at the airport. He was ready to go! We are so excited to hear how his first week went! We will let you know when we hear from him.
Farewell
Mitchell gave his farewell talk this past Sunday. He did such a good job on his talk. He is going to be an excellent missionary. Oklahoma is lucky to have him. Thanks to all who came to show their support. We had family and friends from all over, Texas, Las Vegas, Logandale, and from all over the valley.
